About the International Guitar Festival
The « Festival international de guitare » is an annual, free event held in August in the beautiful perched village of Montauroux. Since its creation in 2000, the Guitar Festival has grown ever more popular; becoming an unmissable summer event for residents and tourists alike.
The line-up for the Montauroux International Guitar Festival has been extended in recent years to cover a full 3-4 days and celebrates guitar music in all its different forms, including classical, jazz, pop, and rock. The venues vary from the historical Chapel of St. Bartholemew to the central Place du Clos, which hosts the main stage for the evening acts and headliners.

Jean-Jacques Burnel (the last remaining member of the original line-up) introduced, in fluent French, such classics as Peaches and Golden Brown, together with more recent hits like This Song. Being just a four-minute walk from the village square there is no need for a car (although the property has 3 private parking spaces for guests) and is perfect for that morning stroll for the baguette or for an evening out where everyone can enjoy a glass of wine with their meal! But it also means super-fast (2Gbps fibre) broadband; enhanced by a Wifi-6 mesh (to ensure great connectivity across the whole property). Perfect if you need to ‘work from home’ or for gaming on our complimentary Playstation 5 console (in the ‘multi-use room’ upstairs).
Montauroux is one of the six Perched Villages of the Pays de Fayence. Each village has its own distinctive character and rich cultural heritage; sharing leafy squares, cobblestone streets, and charming boutiques. Perfect for a coffee or fresh food market in the day or a romantic meal at night. There are lots of things to do locally, including regular live entertainment in the main square (4 mins walk) fantastic cinema, tennis & football courts, bike-hire, and a Go-Karts all within easy walking distance of the villa.
Montauroux is also the closest (of the villages) to the beach and azure waters of the Lac de Saint-Cassien, and to the autoroute (for day trips). Our nearest seaside beaches – at Cannes La Napouelle or Théoule-sur-Mer – are just 35 minutes drive. If you are a golfer, hiker, or watersports enthusiast, you will find the area well served.

The owners have paid attention to every detail, with high-thread-count bedding, fine-tuned air-conditioning, and lots of things for the kids to do inside on that rare rainy day.
